即使網關運行在安裝到進程站（DCP網關）上的CPU模塊上，也可以始終在操作員站旁邊的控制級別上查看網關。對于OPC網關，除了IP地址和資源ID外，還需要配置硬件結構中的引導參數(shù)。在引導參數(shù)中定義了多少對象、多少內存和其他站點必須可用的通信連接。對于DCP網關，沒有配置任何引導參數(shù)，因為DCP網關運行在CPU模塊上。因此，在相應的位置安裝了一個具有DCP 02GWY或DCP 10GWY類型的模塊。對于一個冗余的DCP網關，必須使用兩個DCP 10GWY模塊。為了文檔，可以在相應的DCP網關輸入此模塊的名稱。網關類型通過資源分配定義。
